Stand Tall…

Sway in the wind and roll with the punches

Stand tall in your confidence

Tattered and torn with battle scars to show

Stand tall in your beauty

Strike you down with words they will

Stand tall in your pride

Pull you down as you run up hill

Stand tall in your determination

  1. In clarence whittley’s back yard, by the mini me ash shoot, grew two or three sunflowers that streched out taller than clarence and his dad – We would would come to a skidding stop on our bikes right in front of those giant plants – just to see if the flowering heads really followed the sun accross the sky and if it would start giving us sunflower seeds to eat- and then duke would come out and steal the show…ruff ruff….

  2. Such a positive tone to the poem…rather enjoyed that sentiment.
